I got these a week ago. Only had time to snap cell phone pictures:

Great quality only problems so far is they are made for the 7AFE pistons (even though it has a fully floater small end). The 7A pin is 20.00mm, while the 4A pin is 20.01mm. So to use 4A pins the small ends need to be honed.

As far as final weight measurement.. I have not been able to get a digital scale yet.

I received my belfab 4A rods today, look pretty good, the packaging could have been a bit better as the rods were loose in the small box that was inside a larger box that got bashed around during shipping.

Yes, $340 for all 4 rods. No, its not a scam, just a very good deal. He's offering the 4AG small journal and large journal rods already, both for $320 a set. Visit their website for more details.

can you confirm belfab make early 4age small journal rods? just checked their website and it only lists late large journal rods and 7a rods

Not anymore. There weren't enough sales of them I guess... I noticed he doesn't keep rods that are not selling around for long. Now only offering large journal 4A and 7A.

Email him for info about it. I dont know, he might have a couple spares in stock or be able to make them again.

    Guyz,

Is anyone gonna do a group order on forged pistons as well for a 7A?

Surely if rods are approx $440 then we should be able to get decent forged pistons for a reasonable price as well?

    Any comments?

And for those who don't know, approx $440 for forged rods are cheap whether it be I or H beam so spread the news and organise the minimum req'd.

I would have joined but have bought Argo rods for a shit silly price!

Thumbs up Re: New forged 7A rods now available...

Iam 1/2 interested on some 7a turbo pistons for a 16v head @ 8:1 compression ratio , The reason i say 1/2 interested is the Factory GZE pistons are good Bang for BUCK .
If we were to do a group buy We need to agree on a few things ,

Bore Size : Standard or How much oversize

Compression Ratio : This Varies if you use a 20v or 16v head , NA or Turbo

Oil Squirter cut out on Skirt : 7a`s don`t have Oil squirters , So do we require then? I know people have added then in the past

    I have just been in contact with BRC Pistons about some pistons for another type of engine and they seem a good price , So they might be a good place to ask , here is there web site if some one wishes to go futher with this ;

Most will be on a budget so standard bore (81mm) would be ideal and having the cut out on the skirt should be included to enable future mods with oil squiter installations.

Only problem will be compression! I am using a blacktop head and am looking at 8.2:1 compression or anything close to it.
