It was awesome fun last time we had a snap storm in the afternoon.

and year, track is open 9:00am-4:00pm

In reality the first cars tend to hit the track about 9:30am after drivers briefings and the like but there is soooo much track time, no one seems to care.

Just got the car started 30 minutes ago..........yay

Seat, harness and interior by Tuesday night hopefully.

Had some speedflow male flares welded onto my new radiator, the fkn tig work has pinholes in it so it's seeping out coolant not bloody happy What a time waster.

Oh and on an unrelated note I spotted Garth at the Chemical Brothers on Friday night.........wearing fluro orange flood pants and he had at least 15 glow sticks*

*He may not have been wearng fluro orange pants or holding glow sticks.

whilst not a permanent fix it WILL get you out of trouble as time is of ther essence

located said pinholes whilst engine is running

then using a pinpunch or blunt centre punch, tap the surrounding area around said pinholes to peen the surface over. this will seal it up as alloy is extremely soft and can be formed while cold.

when i put the alloy tank i made into the surf the evening b4 dyno day and filled it with 20L of 98 i found a section that i had overheated and made porous (i was welding inside the tank after not sleeping for 40odd hrs so give me a break), after discovering it much swearing was done followed by an "i can't be f#*ked draining and pulling this out again" my solution was to grab a long bolt and hammer and beat the area down to seal it.

to this day it still holds but ill fix it properly when i pull the body back off the chassis.

quick easy fix and can be done quicker than pulling the rad out. a spring loaded centre punch would make it easier also.

    cheers

finney, try Vsport in arndell park. they should have them in stock.

Oil & filter change done yesterday (well technically it was started on Saturday but completed yesterday after a bitch of an oil filter just didn't want to come out.. Still to do:
    Brake fluid tonight or tomorrow
Re-install drivers seat (*cough* Linden *cough* )
and that's about as far as track-day prep needs to go with my finely tuned machine
(almost forgot - remember to pick up helmet from mate on Tuesday!!)

Still can't decide whether I can be arsed bringing my camera down or not - anyone want to pay me to sit out for a few sessions and take photos of them?

Oh also - does anyone have one of those go-pro cameras from the first group buy that they DON'T plan on using on the day?
    Cheers,
    Paul.

I may, however, have been in no state to recognise you; what point in the evening was this?

Edit: Finney, i'm running ebcs still - let myself get talked back into greens too, was going red but got warned off, annoyed but will deal with it. Therefore, no idea on DS2500s part no.
