I'd start going through the basics:
    - Check ECU for error codes (remember to delete them first) and follow up any problems
    - Check wiring to and pinouts from the AFM

I need a working 4AGE bottom end. Pref smallport GZE, but all others considered. Also complete motors.
Drift Volvo. Was fun. 2JZ next time.

BTW... the AFM and clicks is a Pat Braden* myth.... It never really works... and in the three cases I've seen it used... ALL three dumped the AFM within 6 months!!!

can you explain this some more about this myth?

I'll add a bit. The standard AFM spring is wound quite tight (at least in my 4AGZE) and so I doupt there is much extra flap tension to be gain by tightening the spring further. The 3SGTE AFM seems to have less spring tension than the 4AG(Z)E.

well after looking at it for a while I have not done any modification to the afm instead i've changed around the vacuum lines a little, put the dashpot back in and did some adjusting to the throttle stops and TPS..... now its running better, just filled my tank last night though so time will tell if fuel consumption has dropped.

side note: I am the unfortunate victim of a cold snap, woke up this morning to -25 celsius..... brrrr. snow as well so im driving sideways for the next couple of days.
