Ok the wilwood unit is essentially a spot caliper but its mechanically operated, Its very small which is a plus:

    Specs:

    DISC THICKNESS 6.3-20.8mm
    DISC DIAMETER 228.6-330.2mm
    BODY MATERIAL Aluminium body
    NO. OF PISTONS 1
    PISTON DIAMETER 41.1mm
    WEIGHT .59kg
    PAD THICKNESS 6.35mm
    PAD AREA 11.4 sq cm

    Part Numbers:

Part Number Bore Size Disc Width
    120-1360 1.62" 41.3mm .25" 6.35mm
    120-2280 1.62" 41.3mm .81" 20.6mm
    120-2281 1.62" 41.3mm .81" 20.6mm
    120-2373 1.62" 41.3mm .50" 12.7mm
    120-2374 1.62" 41.3mm .50" 12.7mm

Looking at around $60 - $90 each depending on who you get em from.

Wilwood also make a Combination rear caliper now - I'm not sure how good it is though?

    Caliper Specs

The brembo unit I don't have the info with me as the hard drive it was on is with a friend at the mo, but it's pretty much the same setup depending on your disc size.
They a bit more pricey (£200) each but they are by no means shit. It's also the same stuff they use on the Ultima, Atom etc.

thats simply awesome! definatley not the sort of answer I was looking for when i started this thread but instead excedes what I hoped for. Who sells Wilwood in this country anyway? I will see if I can get it off them directly

The bore size? Thats the caliper piston bore size.

    For 13mm Disc:

    120-2373 1.62" 41.3mm .50" 12.7mm (right)
    120-2374 1.62" 41.3mm .50" 12.7mm (left)

I don't know who distributes wilwood in Aus? I usually keep an eye out on eBay.com as you'll no doubt find it cheaper then what you would buy it for here locally.

all Falcons EA to ED Falcons have the caliper you need but I have no idea on size. they are known to seize occasionally.

I put r31 calipers on my G-series diff. I totally rebuilt them including sand blasting. I think they work quite well, not well enough for drift action but well enough for a hand brake.

Sam i get all my wilwood gear from a guy in the states called

Thornton Racing.... I believe he also has a Ebay store but it can be hard to find.
Anyhow... I havent had a problem with his service and his shipping charge is reasonable..

From memory i paid $100 aus to have 4 calipers and 2 sets of pads shipped... It was a pretty heavy box too.

The AE92 dont have as much problems as what i hear us ae82 owners complaining about.
The drum rear AE92s are fine, the disc rear ones are crap as well. Won't hold the car on anything but level road

Those little Wilwood ones look the goods, is that little arm the mount for it?
