dunno abotu externals, but the internal gears (not shafts) are same size as KE10 onwards pumps...
right... just trying to confirm what i think is true....
that a oil pump from a 73 2tg would be the same as a 83 one from a TE71.
cant find any info on them being different, and our info doesnt go back that far![]()

that shaft of the T series is bigger than the K series, but the actual gerotors themselves are same (afaik).. so you'd need to somehow reattach the smaller gear to the T shaft.... not that straigthforward.. but T and R gears can be made to fit in K housings.

Check with Mark (AE25), he should know or know someone who does.

Oil pump from a 76 2TG is interchangeable with a 71 2TG.Originally Posted by Mr Revhead

I believe the pickups are the only difference - i brought one for my 2T-G rebuild from toyota NZ (ta63 listing) and the only thing i had to change was the old pickup/tube that goes in the sump.

somehow i seem to remember that they supply different amounts,
starting off with 2t/3t with least amount, then 2tg then 3tgteu with the most. check brd racing for high flow pumps for 3tc which im sure is interchangable with 2tg.
don't some 3T(X) pumps have the thicker gears? or is it only R ones?

the 3T-GTE pump has a larger impeller and a spacer between the two halves of the pump housing to fit the taller impeller gears (AFAIK).
3TGTE impeller is same size as 18RG too i think.
The main differences should be in the pickup, as stated previously. You should be able to use the lower half (with pickup) of the original pump mated to the top half of the new pump![]()
...... butt scratcher?!
funny thing is all my info says the pickup is the same.....

iv since found my euro spec epc still goes back to 1974
