Could some on measure the gap in the head where the bolt slides down and then i can measure one of the nuts and see what the go is ?

The nuts a smaller than that easy, Even the washers are smaller.

Dont see why they wouldn't fit ?

Can some one measure a factory 20v bolt ?

    Sure is.

Anywho my 10mm multi-hex long reach socket is still smaller than 22mm in diameter.

Its a bit fiddly getting the washers over the studs in a 16v because of casting marks etc. Still keen for some 20v bolt measurements.

Yeah I am finding it hard to get time to do anything lately myself. I have had no reply to date from ARP either concerning this issue. I will try to get some measurements this Friday on my day off. . . . . fingers crossed that I manage to find time. . . .;-)

i did mention before that i sent a head bolt to ARP and they couldnt match anything.....

so, every high HP 20v i have supplied parts for has used the stock bolts and not one has had a failure that can be blamed on the bolts. and that includes some rather serious engines....
and they are cheap too. so i recommend you use the stock ones

I have to agree REVHEAD, i have my 20v race motor, pushing 200hp, i only use the stock head bolts with no fuss at all.
I think the studs may be just alot of hard work and money for no benefit.
If it aint FAST it aint FUN
