    Default 4AGE 20V Head Studs?

    Hi all,

Currently in the process of building my 4AGTE I have changed to a 20V silvertop head. I have installed in my GZE block ARP head studs. These appear to be too short for the 20V head and ARP dont appear to list a variant part no. for studs to suit a 20V?

    Any ideas?

Hey mate they do actually stock some but you have to buy 2 sets i was going down that path but didnt bother in the long run it costs about 420 for the complete set if you call around to your local auto shop they should know what to get for it if not i am in townsville and i can get a set here

KARNAGE - oh ok, i just had a look in the ARP online catalogue and they dont list them? Do you have an ARP part number? or are you simply just buying two of their listed 4age stud kits? It is interesting because they do not specifiy 20V or 16V in their catalogue, just 4AGE DOHC Head Stud kit?

I gather the 20v head needs long head studs on both inlet and exhaust ?

From what KARNAGE said its 2 16v 4age sets used for the exhaust studs which are longer than the inlet studs. Expensive way around it.

Yeah sorry mate i didnt explain that very well. yeah you need to buy to sets for the exhaust head studs other than that the arp distributor doesn't sell a set specifically for the 20valve which really sucks

I sent Rocket an Email about this about 8 months ago and the reply was basically buy 2 sets of 16v 4age studs. thus i haven't cos buying 2 and only being able to use half of what you buy is bullshit! i was looking for another supplier but it would seem that ARP has cornered the AUS market

You might be able to find a set for a V8 that will have the required bolts (350chev suit SR20 and cheaper)
