Can you be a bit more specific? We are open to ideas for improvement, but we need details of what you want improved.

i was gonna post on ttc.net but i lost my password

yeah, the show is shit full stop.

poorly represents toyotas makes me embarrassed to own one.

the judging is beyond a joke, even after the outcry from the year earlier about a stock sportivo turbo wins again. even riced out shit boxes that usually dominate cant get a free sausage let alone some silverware

the categorys are a complete joke 'most kms on the cruise' its all so silly to me, which is probably why adelaides best toyotas do not enter. and calling people up on technicalities such as saying andys stock jdm levin with springs, wheels and a bucket seat was in the 'race' category for having a harness. what a joke.

its great to get feedback from the judges but when they are so biased and obviously have no taste in cars and modifications people become disgruntled with the show and dont enter.

if the current trend continues you are going to have a couple of scissor doored NA supras, some 5sfe celicas incl naked firemen on the doors, and of course the all conquering stock 7afte corolla and a sprinkling of other cars.

i would love to help out to help improve the show, it is poorly marketed and entrants feel left in the dark as to what the judges are looking for and how they score is often inconsistent.

can the best car please win in future and not be judged for

best behaved, first paying, most punctual to the cruise, most kms on the cruise, helped out most with setting up, encouragement award for this that an the other, longest member on the board, most posts on the forum.

you need set categorys, and you need to stick to them. Understand current styling and dont say the car is too dirty or too rough cos it hasnt been washed or the guards are flared.

if you want more info on how i believe you could improve your show feel free to email me or call me

my phone number is plastered all over the 'net

    cheers

ps. dont mean to sound harsh, im trying to help to rag on your show, top work for organising and running an event on that scale but to make it more appealing to the average toyota enthusiast please take some advice on board.

I went with a mate to the dyno day, was alright. My memory isn't the best but I don't believe I saw any Turbo Mk4's whilst I was there, they were all NA but a white one with a big wing was packing a 1UZ-FE that made 152rwkw. Other 2JZ-GE Mk4's made between 115-130rwkw I think. Saw a nice Turbo A there that made a bit over 200rwkw but then along came a grandpa spec corona I think which had a chev 383 hidden inside which made plenty of noise and power but WAY too much torque, struggled to get a proper dyno reading out of it.

I remember seeing a mega ricey camry, green with tribal vinyls or whatever all over it, made just over 70rwkw I think? More of a show car really. Also the 2JZ-GE silver mk4 had a pretty decked out interior with snake skin and big stereo etc but the fact that the engine appeared to be bog stock disappointed me

I would like clarification on why certain cars won certain trophies...

i cannot fathom how a realatively std corolla can beat all sorts of show cars to take out the overall weekend again. The silver supra was far from what i would call my taste in cars, but it was still more "showy" than the corolla.

also interested on how the original classes were judged, as i don't really think that an old rolla with a holden motor in it is particularly original... (as cool as it might be)

The write up clearly explains why this is, and also that the another car would likely have won had it fitted the criteria for toyochamp.

Damian Horton taking the most points for the show and shine, approx 30 points above Lesley Nadin - however Lesley had competed in all events and was eligable for ToyoChamp, Damian wasnt. (ToyoChamp must complete the cruise, dyno, sound off and show and shine).

I understand that the winners cars have been postede along with results now. If you have any criticism / advice / comments to make on the show, the organisers would appreciate it if you could provide it on the toyoshow forum (http://www.toyotacarclub.net/forum/Y...?board=toyshow) as all suggestions are taken seriously, but the organisers do not necessarily get a chance to look through all the possible other forums to find comments.

Remember that the show is not held for profit but for the people, and as such anyone is welcome to input, and serious offers of help to organise the show would be welcomed. If you think that something can be done better, then feel free to help out, or at least offer constructive advice as to how it can be improved. Holding shows such as this requires a massive organisational effort. One area that is hoping to be overhauled for next year is the scoring, so if you have any good ideas in the regard, they would be especially helpful. If you want changes, then the best way to make them is to get involved.
