Default Bottem end bearings for 1GGTE

Hey guys, anyone know what part number is the bottem end bearings for a Gen 3 1GGTE?? the conrods that raps around the crank shaft.

EDIT: been doing a search and i know that the Gen 2 have a 42mm crank and the Gen 3 have the 44mm.

Anyone know if i can use any other different model bearings in the Gen 3 1GGTE?

    Any help will be ace.

    Thanks,
    Heng

from all reports they are expensive as F#*K but most seem to regrind the crank to suit early rods and bearings which can be had from a 4K (i think).

i think PUBE just got this done to his gen3 and is about to bolt it all back together.

    cheers

From what I have found, there are only genuine bottom end bearings available for the 44mm fully counterweighted crank. However I have also read that not all gen 3 1G's had a fully counterweighted crank. For the 42mm crank you can use 4K bearings.

So what is the problem? Have you spun a bearing? The fully counterweighted cranks are getting very hard to find so make sure your crank can actually be used if its damaged. Geetting the 44mm crank machined to suit the early rods is easy enough although the early rods are a little bit wider so point that out to your machinist as they will either open up the journal or machine the thickness of your rods to suit.

yeah planning to get genuine bottem end bearings. If it dosnt cost a fortune.

What you mean by the counterweight?

I got a 44mm conrods i know is i measures one of my other bearings one side to the other is 44mm.

I kinda did spun a bearing. But some how the bearings were loose and my piston (number 4) was knocking on the head which made a very loud tappet sound. But the conrod bolts were tight

Im just trying to fine the part number for the 44mm crank bearings so i can get a price how much it will cost and if its just to much i will have to rebuild my other 1GGTE (Gen 2) engine sitting in the back.

Easiest way to find out if you have a fully counterweighted crank is to put the crank on the floor and give it a nudge. If it rolls along the ground, you have full counterweights. If it only does like half a turn then hits a flat spot, you have the early crank.

3/4/5 im sure are the oversizes. My rods had a 3 stamped on the side of them and they were standard sized to suit the 42mm crank.
