THe 'other' option is a day licence, which is $45.(and I understand that you can 'upgrade' it to a full year licence if you wish).

Note that a licence is also ONLY valid with a valid current CAMS affiliated club membership.(so, if you want to use your full year licence again, you'll need to ensure you're in a car club at the time of the future event.

You could just wait closer to the event. Last year we turned up on friday without accomodation and got a room walking distance from the Matilda for one night. They always have cancellations and something is bound to come up.

Otherwise if you're only staying for one night you could beg someone to let you crash on the floor or something like that.

I saw Mos practising some "khana" moves the other day on my way to work....there was some quick turning and accellerating involved, so i can only assume he was practising for the khana.

Howe many of you are there?
I booked one of the 2 remaining rooms yesterday for the weekend, both with double beds, so I'm aiming to bring a mattress to throw on the floor as I'm not that friendly with "Whatthe?".
We're going to be late arrivals on Friday night, so it may be handy to have someone who could check in & get the key.

Let's face it, the rooms are really only used for sleeping in anyway.

I have no idea what you're talking about? I haven't done any "quick turning and accelerating" in this car yet.. was just driving normally. Oh wait, you drive a celica - that explains it I guess!

Entry forms, shit; I knew I had forgotton something!

Costs for the MK and Sunday dinner were only finalised this week so forms will be out next week. The closing date will be the Friday afternoon at Dubbo but if you can pay in advance that would be really helpful. Failing that, paying on the day is fine but a cheque rather than cash would be appreciated.

I'm not suprised that it's getting hard to find accommodation as there are 3 car clubs in town including our event. Yellow pages is the best bet and even if the hotels say they are full, ask to be put on a "standby list". Just about every year the Matilda gets last minute cancellations.

All the details we have to date will be sent to Nathan this weekend for a website update.
