Wideband is for tuning, narrowband is for people who like looking at flashing lights.

I have one and I do like looking at the flashing lights.
One useful thing you can do is determine under what conditions the car goes into closed loop or open loop mode. Mine seems to go open loop beyond about 50% throttle.
