Maybe the mechanic fucked up and didnt put the rocker cover gasket in properly or it fell out.
Take it back and get them to check it.
Hi can I get some help please I have just got my GT4 back from the mechanics last week after blowing the head gasket and I am now having some problems with it
the first problem I noticed from the day I picked it up was when I backed off I was getting white smoke come out of the bov which I thought was just new seals in the head bedding in.
The next thing was when I checked the oil after about 1/2 a tank of fuel and I had used about 1ltr
The last thing I noticed today when I moved the car out of the shed to do some work was a pool of oil on the floor so I jacked the car up and had a look under it and the engine is covered in oil which seams to be coming from the inlet side of the motor.
I know it’s a long shot but dose someone know what might have gone wrong to cause all of this to happen?
Cheers in advance

cheers its going back to them on thursday
I just wont to know what to expect
When it blew the head gasket did it get hot. Piston ring have a habit of loosing their tension when an engine is overheated badly. This would account for the high oil consumption/oil blow by on the intake side. Just a thought.

When the head gasket blew it went between cylinders 2 and 3 and did not over heat or use oil or water
I asked the mechanic if I had done any damage to the bottom end while he had the head off and he said it all looked good
Probably just the cam cover gasket, the inlet side are notorious for leaking
I am the sun
unless the mech f@#ked the HG and its now pissing out the back of the head....
but the valve cover gasket seems more logical, and easier to stuff up![]()
cheers thats what I am hoping for
it turns out he has been having trouble with one of his mechanics to the point where the guy was fired late last week
it turns out it is coming out of the distributor but the mechanic cant fix it till after the new year(I hate mechanics) and the harder I drive it the more oil will come out
so my plans of having some fun over christmas up in the mountains is now gone as I will have to take the other halfs laser
take it to another mech...
yeah I would take it to another mech but the guy I would take it to was is booked out till feb
Dizzy should be doable yourself quite easily - definitely worth a shot, hardest part is getting to the fucker, I did it with the IC on which is a pain in the arse, but drain to cooler and remove, and you should be sweet.
