Guide: Strut and brake conversion for TA from RA

Yeah, I was thinking about that scenario. I'm getting a set of TA22 brakes etc this weekend for cheap, so I'll put them on for now anyway.

Unfortunately the RA28 discs are 254mm and the standard calipers take up more than the 280mm of room under the 13's.

My plan is to create a mount for RX7 calipers, and use a smaller diameter vented disc like from an early Liteace van (230mm).

Hmm, interesting. I've got a bees dick of clearance with my Mazda caliper setup under 15" rims (had to hit the calipers with the grinder to knock a mm or so off). But as you note, most of that diameter results from the size of the disc.

Shame you hadn't come up with this a little while ago, I'd have done you a straight swap .
