    For the record concerning weight of steampipe, my manifold with the turbo and downpipe attached weighed almost the same (around 100g more) as the cast iron factory 4AGE headers and secondaries. Taking into account that a turbo was attached, it came up pretty good. Of course more intricate designs will weigh more.

    I wouldnt weld studs on if i were you, what happens when they break?!?

    Mine are threaded into the plate and i heated the plate prior to threading them in, so in theory an interferance fit has occured and if i ever need to get one out i'll have to heat it out again!
