Default 7MGTE boost controller - to source from turbo comp cover, or inlet manifold??

Ok, I'm going to install a boost controller ( hyperboost bleed valve ) on my MA71, and am wondering whether I should keep the source line connected to the turbo compressor cover, or re plumb it from the inlet manifold???
On one hand, the comp cover gives the shortest plumbing, but then doesent take into account the losses through the system, and sees the pressure fluctuations from the turbo.
Plumbing to manifold would automatically give me 6.5 to 7 psi at the manifold rather than the factory 5 to 5.5 that they get from standard, but would there be a risk of having spiking problems due to longer source line length.
I was thinking of teeing into the brake booster line from the manifold, before the booster, as this is a large diameter line, and comes to where I want to mount the controller. Total length of vaccuum hose would be ~ 1000mm from inlet man to controller ( 11/32" dia ), then about 500mm from controller to wastegate actuator ( 1/4" ).

    What does everyone reckon???

I spliced my bleed valve into the line going from the compressor to the wastegate actuator... I haven't seen any boost spikes... I used fairly short hoses though.

Where ever you end up plumbing it from, couldn't you take that into account, and raise or lower the boost accordingly? As long as it doesn't spike it shouldn't matter too much...

compressor housing if you can. Inlet manifold will give send pressure later than the comp housing.

Problem with taking it from the inlet manifold is that at 3/4 throttle under load,
the turbo ios capable of creating massive airflow, yet the wastegate will not open because the intake manifold pressure is still a bit low due to the partially closed throttle.

This means the pressure inbetween the turbo and the throttle plate may skyrocket, may reach 20+ psi more than boost level, and if the turbo cant take it you may damage it.

Taking pressure from inbetween the intercooler and throttle plate is a good idea,
as long as the lines are not too small, too long or too big.
If the lines are too big it takes too longn to fill them and spike may occour.

Taking pressure from the Comp housing means that you may get inconsistant boost as it doesn' take into account pressure drop,
although usually the amount it varies is so little that most of the time you cant even tell on a boost gauge.
