I can assure you there are many different splines and tapers across Toyotas.

Being both first gens i would vote for them being the same

majority of them are.. i'd say

RWD RA-XX celica steering is interchangeable with AE-XX corollas... only difference is the indicator cancelling is different, and needs to be modified to work..

a few, i wouldnt say many.

cant say ive tried and tested em all, but all of the models ive come across share a few.

Aw11/supra/corolla (early 90's)/camry/cressida/soarer etc. etc. all have 2-3 types between them...

I personally use a late model Camry wheel on my MX83 and a leather bound toyota wheel with "twin cam 16" written on it in my Hilux. Do not know the origin of the second one. Some have different holes to engage the indicator return . I previously used a Hilux wheel on the MX83 while looking for something more suitable.

Give me three days and I can tell you for sure.
(Thats when I pick up my RA23)

I beleive they are the same, but I will be fitting a sports wheel on the RA23, so it better be!!!

Splines are all the same but it is only the bosses that might be different.
23/40 are the same. RA60/hilux are the same. To run a 23 boss on a 60/Hilux you have to remove the steering column cover.

As I said I would be back with confirmation....

And Yes Identical between TA22 and RA23. Hence all Gen 1's are the same.....

    Cheers guys,
    Alex.
