i'm not always right, and i fucked up my first equations anyway ..
there is no need to look up formulas as it is all very simple (to me) to think about it step by step (which is why i put it as steps, rather than just the final thing), so then you can look at each part of the brake system, and see what effect.. and how much effect.. it will have on everything else.

so please don't hesitate to call bullshit on anything i write.... if you have a reason to back up the call

your "advice" is not very helpful. how about explaining how twin pistons will help.. opposed or sliders and what is the difference..
how do you know those brakes are big enough? it depends on the speed he will be travelling, how many times he wants to stop, and in what time frame, so he can shoose the thermal mass required to not overheat the pads

funny how you go from not knowing how boosters or pedal ratios work and are now giving out advice again...

Disturbed, use the above formula to work out what you need to change and by how much, based on your current booster and leg effort required. it is very easy to predict how much force and how much pedla travel will result, assuming you can measure the things required (most are constant, so don't need to be measured for a "relative" comparison)
I will let this discussion be. Yes, that's right, to all the small pinkys out there giving neg rep, lol, jokes on you if you think I cared ? Funnier if this is the only place were your opinion is validated.

Old Corrolla, you know what I mean and that's all there is to it. I haven't got the time to write a dummies guide type response explaining everything. This topic was for me personally so if someone wanted an answer they'ld understand, they should have started their own thread.

Remember the old saying, you can teach someone who's fast to slow down, but you can't teach someone who's slow to go fast.

    See you'se about.

err... i have no idea what you mean because your answers are contradictory... meaning they are half wrong.

i wrote you a dummies guide.... did you read it? i did ask if you could explain it, before i explained it for you. i even did it step by step, so you can analyse any part of it you wanted....

rep schmep.. it means nothing... but so far your understanding of braking seems lacking to the point of being dangerous...

it isn't someone else posting with your user name is it? you seem to bounce between clueless and authoratative on the same subject within the thread you started....???

Abently... stay away from the hooter... it doesnt make you smarter!! As Olrollas has said, your understanding of brakes (or misunderstanding) and willingness to experiment with what you believe is fact is quite dangerous, not only to yourself, but to others around you (anyone on the roads you are driving). I think you should just forget modifying cars and buy a new one... your attitude is far too dangerous.

As for you thinking this may be the only place where our opinions are validated... people pay a lot of money for my opinion... and come back to pay more the next time they have trouble, because my opinion because it saves them a lot more money than they have to pay... and it fixes their problems correctly the first time. I am sure its the same for Olrollas. So your getting free advice from expensive professionals... and telling them they are full of shit?? Jokes on you.

Now... maybe you should buy a Kia, as they are cheaper, and going by your general attitude, you must think that something that has the same specs, but is cheaper, must be better.
