I had a 32/36 DGAV Weber 33B 101 (electric choke) and the way someone set up mine on my old 2T goes like this:

    1st pic
    - WTF vacuum line = vacuum for distributor
    - WTF vacuum or fuel i dunno = vacuum (mine is left open)
    - WTF fuel in or out? arrow points = fuel in (mine was on the other side)

    2nd pic
    - WTF fuel in or out? arrow points = fuel in
    - WTF vacuum? = (mine is cast block)
    - WTF vacuum? = (mine doesn't have it)

you might want to pm rodger, he's based in Canberra. He has helped me out alot when it comes to webers and solexs.

    My opinion:

    - WTF vacuum line = vacuum for distributor - yep
    - WTF vacuum or fuel i dunno = float bown vent - leave open.
    - WTF fuel in or out? arrow points = fuel in or out, can be used for either.

    - WTF vacuum? Lower = pollution crap connection, block it.
    - WTF vacuum? = more pollution crap. Ignore it.

    Hi Rob,

The previous Guys seemed to be pretty spot on with their explanations.

I thought I'd just take some pics of my installed 32/36 on an 18R in case it helps.

So as you can see, the vacuum line closest to the engine goes to the dizzy. The fuel line goes into the engine side of that T-piece. And I seem to not even have the cover on the opposite side that you do

Timbo, the DGV like you and I have is non-pollution, so it does not have the overrun diaphragm. The passage is simply not drilled out.

BTW: What jets are you running? I've had a good fiddle with mine today and it's running great now, but with jets way larger than I expected. 55 idles, 145 main primary and 150 main secondary.

    Hey Brett!

    That makes sense

I haven't even had the jets out. I bought a kit a while ago, as the engine was progressively getting worse and I thought it was the carbie. It turned out to be a burnt exhaust valve, so I left the carbie as is. Couldn't see the point in rebuilding something that seems to work OK

Good to hear yours came up trumps

    Hi Timbo,

I never really worked out what was wrong with the first carby. I just bought a second one that was incomplete and made one good one out of the two. But I've had a persistent flat spot with it just above idle, until I started fiddling with it yesterday. Now I have it jetted right it's nice and smooth. I'm just surprised how rich the jets are, as the engine is a stock 1808cc 16R, and the jets are richer than my well-wroked 2lt Gemini engine used.

You are very fortunate yours ran well straight away.

    Oh, cool!

I wouldn't say mine is perfect, but it's OK. Seems to be a bit of a flat spot too, but liveable. I've got a dyno chart somewhere. Very flat torque curve and AFRs, albeit a bit rich. Ended up giving a tad over 50KW at the wheels on an otherwise worn out old 18R.

One day I might rebuild the 32/36, but then again I've got the 18RB twin SU's to try out, as well as an EFI 18RG to finish, and the 1GGTE halfcut to put in, so rebuilding the weber ain't that high on the priority list

Sorry no it can't.. as is for fuel return to the tank... * has a restriction, to slow fuel down... you can block of if fuel is returned via the fuel pump..
