Default 1jz conversion done need air con hoses

Hey all 1jz conversion is completed in my mx73 and im now trying to get the A/C up and running , any of you guys had custom hoses made up for between the compressor and the car lines. seems i need the end from the mx73 and the other end needs the jzx81 fitting. i have both fitting just need to get somthing made up. Anyone have any experence on who does this.

    cheers
    Pete

ive done it on mx83-1jz conversions.

i removed the p/steer pump and changed the top hat on the aircon pump to the mx83 one then just bolted all the lines back together.

from memory i had to linish the ends slightly but you would have to dummy it up to know for sure.

hope this helps but ive never done a 73 so im not sure if it will work on yours.

    cheers

    thanks for the reply
looks like the 2 top blocks are different between the jzx81 and the mx73 compressor.
i looked at using a whole mx83 hose but the tx valve is different in the way the hose bolts on. I went through pick and payless at blacktown and it looks like the only toyota that runs those hoses are the cressidas so basically i need the mx83 bottom half and the mx73 top half and a new hose inbetween.
I was thinking of trying some of the hose specialists
    Im open to any suggestions

    this is my plan.

you can see the original MZ12 AC comp on the ground which is the same as yours. you can see a JZ oulet cap sitting on top with sections of the xMGE pipe sitting in the inlet/outlet.

i cut those thread sections off the xMGE ac compressor outlet cap. i plan to weld them into the JZ outlet cap as shown.

then everything is factory bolt in

if you do the same make sure you get the hoses round the right way. with my setup they will end up crossing over.

welding will end up cheaper then getting new hoses made.

    hello

yeah i was down that way trying to pressure test the system at a mates place, see we have had 2 goes at welding the correct end on the alloy pipe but every time i get pin holes in it. we pressure test to 1500psi and then soap down the joins, it bubbles where the leaks are.
I work about 10 mins from your shop, have been down once ages ago.

just make sure you pressure test it before gas, i have tried welding but its hard to get it without pin holes

Pirtec may be able to do it. I know there is a place over at milperra that makes ac systems for cars, trucks, etc but I can't recall there name. They can put new hose on your fittings. if you ask at pirtec on ashford ave, they should be able to tell you who they are.
    Hope this helps.

i tried enzed, they said AC systems = no go also

apparently reputable AC shops can fabricate custom lines.

im willing to give the welding a go as it costs nothing so there is nothing to loose.
