5mge to 1jz wiring conversion

any one have any helpful details on this, i have full wiring diagram for the 1jzx81 which is the 1j i have but im in the dark on the 5mge wiring pin out for the ecu. anybody help its getting urgent?

Ummm I cant help but yeah Is the car in question a 5M from a MA61 Supra? not sure if there are different computers etc between different models of cars so more info maybe needed. Good luck with the conversion.

the car i question is a 1988 model mx73 cressida if that helps

what exactly do you need?

i can tell you the basics of getting the engine started and running, and getting the dash to work (except for tacho) but thats about all i can do, your better off getting an auto sparky in to do it, it'll save you headaches in the long run.

im electrician, so i can figure wiring out. i have the 1jzx81 wiring diagram its more the mx73 i have no info on for the wiring. pinout for the cressida 5mge would make it so easy

This is for 5MGE to 7MGTE, but you should be able to work out where to go from there...

look around that site to find more info, theres plenty there.

have been searching plenty, supra 5mge is easy to get pin outs for but not the cressida. we will figure it out.

pop the cap off the 5mge ecu and see if the pins are labelled on the pcb board

best of luck, seems to be the luck of the draw with wiring diags printed on the boards... the only luck ive had is with the newer 1990+ ECU's.

wish ya luck though, as i havent seen a 5MGE ecu.

let us know if its printed on there though!

already checked that,no markings for the pin out at all on the board

then you use the labeling on the pins, and a pencil and paper, and you draw yourself a pinout diagram.
