I gave you negative rep because there was no point in making that post atall. As i told you i had allready outlined in the original post that i had been searching.

And whats wrong with using the "edit" fuction?

I'm sorry but your posts just come across as being a post whore, just like you could have PM'd me about this but you would rather take it up in a technical thread, further filling it with more crap!

I'm sorry to have done it but i just saw it as necessary, i hope we can come to some understanding and get on with being a friendly forum?

maybe he didn't get the "points to members ride thread" part of your post???
No, your right... i'm sorry but i didn't get that. And i actually already know about Adsports wide body AW11! I had come across it in a SEARCH i did a couple of weeks ago!!!

    *points to ride thread*

i'll make it simple. (and i'm not trying to be condescending)

i said many people have built 4AG's.

he laughed... becuase he has also built one...

he then pointed to his thread...

and asked you to search..... HIS THREAD.....

How about the mods just delete this thread. Take off the neg rep, unless i can edit it?

And we all start fresh happy people once i actually own a Toyota again!

Done and done... twat is i!!!

    *red faced*

It was just that remark that someone else made directly after Adsports post "haha +rep"... that was there before i came back into the thread so yeh that's why i kinda took it all the wrong way!

EDIT: I can't view the link that is "View Forum Leaders", so i dont know who the mod is that i need to contact to have this thread removed and Adsports rep fixed up accordingly!

I think thats the best thing you've said so far.

Buy the car, and spend some time driving it. THEN decide what you want from the car.

In my honest opinion, you should be spending money on other parts of the car before even going near the engine bay (and even before that, have a plan written down on paper so you have your goals in clear sight).

    1. Tyres/Wheels (reduce that unsprung mass!)
    2. Brakes (most important part of the car after the tyres.
    3. Suspension (go and talk to the guys at WA Suspensions about your needs)
    4. Weight reduction and ergonomics (these fall in together for the MR2 in particular)
    5. Engine and Drivetrain (then get it really moving...)

That is geared toward a weekend car that you'd occasionally take to the track.

This is based on my experiences in the race industry, what I have been taught at uni, experience in ground-up racecar design, and countless conversations with people who've actually been there and done building cars from scratch.

    Thanks mate!

    1: Done.
2: New pads come with the car... not sure on the qual yet but i've got some slotted rotors lined up.
3: The suspension if it's not ok WILL be the first on the list. Bushes first then moving onto sway bars, strut braces, possibly adjustable coil overs like Tein or HSD (if they make them for the MR2)..
4: Not overly fussed in this region for now.
5: Yes, this is where i like to spend my time!

Guys i'm sorry if i'm coming across a bit 'noob'ish' i'm just very excited! I'm like a kid in a sweet shop (yes i was that type of child... go crazy not being able to choose just a few things i'd have to have some of everything).

    Hmmmmmm gwetting back on subject....

The SC12 supercharger is quite weighty and maxes out at about 220hp(with a decent engine management system)

There is a guy in the Uk.... who has a 20V running the new Rotrex supercharger.....

    Here is the original thread....
http://forums.club4ag.com/zerothread?id=8112 - check out the youtube.... but for those who prefer... 267 hp with a peak torque of 195#-ft with the added advantage of about 1/3 the mass of the SC12

with how much fairy dust sprinkled on it??

sorry i have to seriously doubt that remark ....

weight isnt its problem , its air displacement is... its too small to make a reliable decent improvement , no matter how hard you overdrive it i cant see anything making 220hp with an sc12 on it

Remember the SC12 will burn its rotors out at around 15psi. My old GZE on 12/13psi with piggyback on stock management is currently making 116kw at the fronts. Thats with a 164mm pulley.
116kw is 155hp, which assuming a very generous drivetrain loss of 25% is 190hp ish at the fly. I wouldnt be suprised that at 15psi its just hitting 220hp at the fly. But its dicey, and in that calculation the drivetrain loss is always iffy.

I was trying to be kind... to those running SC12... My point is simple... the above S/C uses a planetary gear drive. This is SIGNIFICANTLY different then say a Roots or Vortex S/C. The video and info from the link are pretty convincing....

the rotrex is just a vortech with a fancy non-gear-toothed drive system to reduce noise.
"This traction drive combined with the latest technology in centrifugal compression, "

it stil has all the drawbacks of a liner boost rate (at best), or low bost for half of your rpm followed by linear boost.

good for dyno queen or auto drag racer, but crap for street.
    C38 3Lt to 6Lt Engine Capacity
    300hp to 630hp Engine Output*
    90,000 rpm Maximum Impeller Speed
    1 : 7.5 Gear Ratio

    C30 1Lt to 4.5Lt Engine Capacity
    100hp to 400hp Engine Output*
    120,000 rpm Maximum Impeller Speed
    1 : 9.49 Gear Ratio

C15 Up to 2Lt Engine Capacity
Less than 50hp to 200hp Engine Output*
    201,500 rpm Maximum Impeller Speed
    1 : 12.67 Gear Ratio
they are just using the same impeller.. and spinning it faster and faster for more capacity???

each unit... C15, C30, C38, use different impellors and different pulley options(5 or 6 per unit) ... I'm pretty sure they can be sized to improve torque.... and not just for dyno runs....

What is needed is a multi-speed supercharger drive delivering optimum boost conditions on demand. This can be achieved using a two, three or continuously-variable speed gearbox coupled to the Rotrex traction drive. These two modules clipped together act as a single unit, but are still more compact than a conventional supercharger.
Here is a write up with a Rotrex on a Tribeca... it includes a dyno chart that looks more roots type, then Vortex type.....
