Hey mate saw no one has posted and thought i would see if i could help, if standard studs wont stand up to the test cant you get some high tensile studs?
Hey all
I need some decent studs to thread into my manifold to bolt the turbo on with. Apparently normal studs just wond cut it, i need ones that will survive the extreme temperatures in there.
Cheers

I was actually talking about this to the bolt place the other week about this alot of places dont have engineering studs as there very difficult to get a hold of. As i had to shorten a few of mine as they hit on the manifold but how ever they did suggest getting bolts and removing the head of them but i wasnt really keen for that wat type of motor is it you may find out that something like 1JZ-GTE or similar studs may be the same but im not sure.

just get some exhaust manifold studs, from any exhaust shop, what i use and its fine.

Id say if your manifold will go along time before the studs pop. I just got em from repco and no issues yet.

i use 12.9 grade capscrews , bullet proof and you can turn the head off and thread the end and you have studs that are arp quality. cheers bigwad
