Default Adjustable pillowball type suspension for mx83

Hi , its time again to replace the top bearing plates ( rubber type ) on the front end again after 12 months. My friend at pedders said its a combination of the stiff suspension and the terrible roads we have here in mackay . I am wondering if anyone has fitted any of the adjustable type drift systems with the metal top plates . If so , what brands and how do they perform and what sort of lifespan are you getting out of them as there is alot of crap being sold out there. Thanks .

As far as readily available ones go, all I can think of is the 3T ones (http://www.technotoytuning.com/productdetail.php?p=643), or the KMAC ones. The KMAC ones are crap, as is a lot of what they make, and having not tried the 3T ones I can't comment on the quality myself. However, I think the bolt pattern is the same as some BMWs, and probably other cars as well, so you should be able to find something.

Keep an eye on ebay USA as cusco seem to come up from time to time.

I have kmac springs and sway bars in my mx83 and although the fit quality was very ordinary and I have had to make a few visits to their factory, the handling improvement is well worth it.

I, too, have KMAC springs and rear coathanger on mine, and I can't say I'm altogether excited. The rear springs are fine, however the fronts are far too close to bottoming out just with the car sitting still. The coathanger wasn't a marvellous fit either. They were multiple weeks late arriving, and I don't have the convenience of being able to just drop by their factory any time I want.

I would agree with you that if you are not able to just drop in and have them fix up their fitment issues then I would not recommend them.

Are these guys located in aus. or are they overseas. I couldn't tell from their site.
Is the 83 front end the same as any of the chaser models by any chance , as there seems to be more availability of parts advertised for them .
