Geez, i would have never thought a toyota box would ONLY be 3k new...
Anyhow, just been informed that the gb behind the v12 is an a342... should mean the bell pattern is the same... i think.... i mean hope.
You can get a brand new R154 from Toyota for that much..... not that im saying thats the ideal solution in this case but still...Originally Posted by Screamn_Sleeka

Yeah you should be right I think.
Where did you find this out?

Just putting it out there but possibly from the ID plate off someone's halfcut. I'm led to believe the ID plate is located on the right shocker tower Norbie, so you could check yours there.![]()
Ah, I wondered if the plate might be buried under the acres of plastic covers, which I assume this halfcut is missing.I'll go hunting tonight and post a photo if anyone is interested.

I'm led to believe this halfcut is equipped with most of the plastic covers. Will see if I can post a photo....I have taken plenty.
FYI, diff code is A101, so this big lump runs through a 7.5" diff!
That either means don't flog it or there will be a shortage of them when the bogans find out they're a cheap equal to a 9incher.
Friends
ed_jza80 has not made any friends yet
Actually it's a 200mm diff so closer to 7.9", and the JZA80 boys have proven how tough it is. Shame it's a single-spinner, although I guess it wouldn't be hard to upgrade if you felt the need to do hektik skidz in your mobile lounge room. Not that I'd ever dream of doing that.Originally Posted by gianttomato

A101, dont you mean A01A? Or is this an entirely differnt diff to Supra/Soarer/Aristo?
Photo of my build plate - finally found it!
I took a bunch of other photos while I was at it, including some shots under the car:

I don't suppose there's any chance that adapter could be used with an auto Landcruiser bellhousing to stick a TKO behind a 1FZ? I'm pretty sure the 'cruiser auto casing is different (bigger...) than all the others, but if anyone just happens to know...
(I've got silly conversion ideas in mind again)
