Default ST141 rear disk brake upgrade - RA23

First up, YES I have done a search on this topic but still need some answers! I got my self a rear disk set up from a st141 and I just want to know what mods I need to do to make it fit. I have read that you need 5mm spacer rings, where do these go? Do they fit inside the diff housing and space the bearing/axle out? Also I got the st141 axles with the disk setup, are the splines the same? if so is there any benefits fitting them instead of the 23 axles? Any help would be appreciated.

spacer rings go between the St141 bearing retainer plate (which you shift over to your axles) and the bearings.

axles are different i think - bog warmer not toyota diff.

Also need bolts to attach the bearing plate/alloy caliper mounts to the axles tubes.

Some info in my thread on similar topic - otherwise search for RT142 brake upgrade.

I guess I didn't search ard enough! Thanks for that "thechuckster" + rep to you One last question is do you have to shift over the retainer plate from the st141 axles? Cant I just use the 23 bearing retainers?

Use the RA23's retainer, But you need the retainer ring's & bolts

The ring go's between the bearing & the retainer plate..

Also you will have to move you lower shocker mount as the shocker will foul on the disc caliper...

For more info please send a PM...
