No boost all of a sudden ?? How to re-attach actuator rod to wastegate??

yeh as said, car was running fine before the coil went, and the engine died instantly when the coil shorted.

yer - turbine spins like it did a month ago or whenever, still smooth.

will definately check plugs - however it is strange that it will not boost at any rpm. if they were fouled, you would think that it would drive nice at low, then if fouled, clog up at high rpm maybe. yer still running emanage, hasnt been touched.

fuel pump related possibly ? not pumping an adequate amount of fuel ? will not allow boost ?

There aren't many things that can cause you to loose 100% boost

What you need to do is take the dump pipe off and verify that the turbine wheel is still there!

Just because the turbo spins fine doesn't mean that there is a turbine wheel attached to the side you can't see

Seeing as you are quite sure that there are no boost leaks that is the next major thing in line to check (As I see it).

What is your vacc reading at idle? is it around 18-20mg? thats roughly what it should be. if it's lower (-15mg) then you will have some sort of leak.

if your plugs are fouled(?) it will run like a bag of shit the whole time,

plugs wont effect boost either.

Plugs can limit boost, I wouldn't imagine they'd ever be bad enough to stop it altogether. My car would only make ~10-11psi when the plugs were REALLY f'ed up.

I'm with the guys saying that I'd be checking for a turbine wheel.

I didnt read the whole thread, but have you checked the wastegate acutator rod is still on the gate, this has happened to me and had me stumped for ages haha.

will go pull off the dump lata on, hopefully she wont be too seized, will let the old WD do its work.

haha hell yeah, but lets hope its the gate rod , no way could fouled plugs stop 100% boost, and it would drive like shit 100% of the time until you gave it a boot full and possibly "unfouled" them.

yer shit i really hope its not the turbine wheel, there are no reasons to suggest it would fall off, the car is running 8pnd, turbo was rebuilt with a steel wheel 40k ago !

Also check the wastegate isn't jammed open.
Actuator may not be operating correctly.

Connect up an air compressor and see if it opens.
