How many teeth on R154 speedo gear?

Just wondering how many teeth should be on the R154 cable speedo drive, it was out of a JZA70 if it helps.

I picked up a cable drive gear from the wreckers which is 33 tooth, the electric one I already had in the gearbox is 31 tooth.

JZA70 R154 with standard 4.100 final ratio should have a 33/10.

MX83 with R154 with 3.91 final ratio came up with 31/10...

The 33 tooth I have says 10\33 (top/bottom numbers) so it's obviously the 33/10...
The 31 tooth says 35/31. So does this mean it won't fit? What gearbox uses the 35 drive gear instead of 10?? I'll try it anyway.
