4ac heater core/ thermostat

my heater doesnt work

. got the car recently and not sure why. i need it fixed for rwc. the car is a 84 ae71.

the heater core doesnt leak, the fan works air blows through fine. no weird noises etc. the temp gauge works. what could it be? i really dont wanna go through the hassel of replacing the heater core....

any help would be much appreciated

thankyou very much!

with everything else goin on with this car (rust, eng, g/box, diff etc) i forgot to connect it up. i got this car with a "not working" heater core. and because it "wasnt working" all the plumbing had been re-routed and the tap disconnected.
