^ yea its one of those!
btw anyone who has had their cruise control fixed buy someone who is NOT cambelt1 might like to check that it has been wired up correctly rather than the dodgy fix which bypasses certain failsafes.
probably just hasnt met one of the conditions;
-handbrake off
-brake off
-car is not in P or N (im guessing it was something simple like this)
-speed signal input (it doesnt care what frequency it is)
-over 40km/h (or corresponding factory frequency @ 40)

hello
Post here dave so I can rep ya !!
I checked mine, and it does disable cruise when that action is performed..
The problem is when a different motor is fitted to a X83 if the Neutral start switch wires are bridged at the body loom loom plug it causes the prob,
However the wire however should be wired back to the donor motors NS switch . The main diff is the X83 runs full current through the NS switch where as most later motors run it through a start relay and when you hook up the start relay we forget that the NSW wire runs to a few other places ie the cruise ecu
