they've just been done to death man, NA/20V/GZE/GTE/GZTE, ive seen the same thing over and over again... just not interested in the same, boring, documented conversion :/

they obviously are a great motor, especially for the price, which is why everyone uses the things

    o_man, no hard feelings

the chassis had a 1UZ test fitted into it, a bees dick clearance all around, and apparently the bellhousing fouls BIGTIME on the firewall.

if anyone can provide concrete details on how to fit one, if it can fit at all, i can pick one up cheap off a mate, and i wouldnt hesitate in using it.

id borrow the motor to test fit, but it has no transmission, and im not looking forward to buying one just for a test fit.

There was a thread on this thing ages ago and the guy was a total dreamer, knew nothing about the car, and it was a massive junker conversion.

Before test-fitting a 1UZ have you checked if it's legal? TA22's are less than 1000kg from factory.

go the 1mz it would be sweet as. there the same length as the 3s's but wider.
still have plenty of room up front and it will still turn corners.

    cheers

^^^^^^^^^^ hahaha it was full bullshit looking conversion!

one problem with the 3rz idea will be HEIGHT, as they are quite a tall motor, alot of height is in the intake mani, like a whole 100mm higher than the cam cover...

custom intake will open up clearance's....

wasnt planning on registering it :/ but i think WA's laws are somewhat more lax? this is the general idea, but no, i havent really checked, it probably is illegal ahahah.

i have actually thought of a 3RZ, but i dont know the physical size of the bastard, so i wasnt quite sure, the length is obviously ok, but getting 2.7 litres out of a 4 pot means an unco sized motor.
