Default Quick & Simple Swaybar fitment Question

I picked up a second hand rear kmac sway bar for my ae92 recently. It came with the little rubber bush type things as shown in the pics below. The only problem is that it didn't come with the metal brackets to hold them. The Factory brackets fit over the kmac rubbers but the rubber bits hang out the bottom. this causes them to act as a clamp and doesn't allow the sway bar to pivot. I didn't check if the factory one was able to pivot and it is a half hour job to put it on and test unfortunately. So basically, does the sway bar need to pivot within this mount? or is it meant to hold the sway bar tight in place.

    Thanks in advance

Usually the D bushes are designed to fit in the factory brackets just with a bigger internal diameter for the bigger sway bar. The bar pivots in the bush, so the bush should be greased up a bit too (I can't remember the grease maybe LMM or something, do a search its been covered before). Usually a new bar will come with a little packet of grease.

It looks like you might need a new bush, new brackets (maybe they differ between different model ae92's?) or a bit of a spacer knocked up for these brackets.

D bushes are available from your local parts shop, and cost stuff all. Just replace the buggers...
