    Default Ra23 tow hook

Hi, im in the process of restoring my ra23 and was wondering if anybody knew if i unbolted the tow hook off the back and filled the hole up ready for paint would i have trouble getting it registered?? is this a bad idea? i cant see me needing this tow hook and the car would look alot nicer without it!

Take both hooks off and go and get them chromed, actually take the fronts off too and get them all chromed, they look a treat.

would you rather the tow guy hooked chains and hooks over your diff and smick looking sway bar... or used the tow hook and removed a tiny bit of paint/rust?

There should be one on either side, one that holds to the exhaust and one that is bolted to the right hand side of the rails. Look underneath and look for the holes.

You do need the hooks as it is easier to tie car down on a trailer>

Indeed bling comes at a price. , leave them on there, because you just never know when youll need them.

Back on topic, even if it was illegal i doubt registeration or the police would notice them missing, no Policeman has ever picked up on my ute having no rear handles, fender indicators etc, so they wont pick up a bit of metal near the ground.
