ive now seen 3 $1500+ HKS/Trust/GREDDY/JDMtytey0brand manifolds crack and require re-welding

I guess if you want an uncrackable manifold then its got to be made out of heavy steam pipe yes?

I have built replacement manifolds for every single brand of stainless manifold on the market since I started 2 years ago, in fact the second manifold I ever built was a trust replacement, peope think its the poor quality, when its not. If you look closely at one next time you see a cracked one, they don't crack on the weld, but 1-2mm beside the weld. Stainless expands and contracts 280% more than mild steel of the same thickness, even more if you compare 2mm stainless to 3.6mm wall steampipe, so its like getting a piece of wire and bending it back and forth till it breaks, the staino does it a LOT faster.

Thats the only reason I'm able to offer a lifetime warranty and have yet to have a single failure in over 500 manifolds Like I said though, they have their place, and I'm not bagging them completely, there is hundreds or thousands of people running them with no issues, just follow everyones advise and brace them up, and don't expect a lifetime out of them.

Another tip, be careful how you mount your exhaust to the manifold. All too often a poorly-secured exhaust is solidly mounted to the manifold, and with 3 metres of pipe swaying around it's exerting a lot of leverage on the manifold, so it's only a matter of time before it cracks! Proper bracing and flexible section up front eliminates this problem.

thats correct. S/S manis pretty much always crack. its more to do with the material than anything else, and i havnt seen a steampipe mani crack to this day.
    cheers
