    Default 1JZ bellhousing bolts

I have a 1JZ and I also have a transmission to go with it.

What I dont have is the bolts that connect the flywheel to the torque converter and the bolts that connect the bellhousing to the block. I do have the started bolts though.

Is someone able to tell me what pitch, length and diameter I need. Or even the toyota part numbers.

Id rather just head down to the local hardware store because Im going to try and install then engine on sunday and time is limited to get parts.

    Cheers all.

they will be a metric fine thread of whatever particular size and you most likely will not get them at a hardware store.
if you have a specialist nut and bolt shop within reach you could take the torque converter with you to get the correct thread.even then its most likely that you will need to shorten the bolt as from memory they are rather short for their diameter.
    also please buy hi tensile.

i have not seen any metric fine hi tensile bolts or similiar in a hardware store.

that was about the flex plate to converter.the bellhousing bolts are longer than normal,a couple of lengths and probably a special material.is there a toyota wrecker nearby...they may allow you to pull bolts.............i have all these bolts and store them as sets because they are not so easy to come by [sorry, not trying to sell them] also ask any forum sponsors that are near you [in the classifieds]

its also useful to put your locality with your posting information .people will offer more relevent advice if they knowyour locality.

Cheers pete. Im in Chadstone, Melbourne. I think I have found what they are.

I have found one that fits the bell housing real nicely. I'll just head down to the hardware store and see what they can do for me.

Yeah High tensile for the converter. I'll get OEM for that I think.
