Default Metal Head gasket 4AG(T)E 20v

Are the 16V head gaskets interchangable with the 20V motors?

I ask cos i can only find Metal H/G listings for the 16V motor.

What would be a reasonable price to pay?
$150 to much for a Cometic?

    Cheers

    Brendan

i've used a 16v HG on a 20v rebuild. though there they are some differences in the coolant holes between the 2 gaskets.

isnt the 20v toyota one simular in build to the gze one? the stock 16v HG handles boost well.

I would be interrested to know what a cometic gasket is worth and the sizes / thickness the are available in.

I know HKS gaskets are $400 odd ........... so $150 for a cometic sounds 8-9 cartons of piss cheaper.

This is where i will be getting mine from
    http://www.rocketindustries.com.au/s...?brand=Cometic

    Part number: CMC4170-040
    .040 Thick
    81mm Bore

I asked my local Toyota about a TRD H/G and i was told "phew!!! looking at big dollers there mate, i would just go something from Autobarn if they have it"

So i did what any smart person would and went to Autobarns supplier

16V and 20V head gaskets are not the same.

use the gasket to suit the head.

TRD p/n is 11115-ae001 for the 20v 0.8mm gasket. rrp should be no more than $130ish aud

stock 16v/4agze gasket is the same part.

    HKS = rip off!!!

    Delivered from where?
did you have to order it interstate?

I'm thinking 0.8mm would be a lot better for my application (the whole turbo thing on stock compression)

Shit! is it possible to use 2? or is this just stupid?

What's the standard thickness of a 20V h/g compared to the 0.8mm TRD version?
