it can cost up to 2000 to supply rewire and tune an ecu
I want to get rid of my air flow sensor (i have a 3tgteu in a 79 panelvan) i have been told that i can do this by putting an after market computer in my car is this true??![]()

Do you have any recomendations for what sort of computer i should look, a mate of mine has said that the greedy e manage fuel only unit is the way i should go
microtech is cheap and works very good if tuned good
but u have to see if spending 2000 will get u many benefits
i do know that 3ts like to melt std pistons if the boost gets to high
Thanks for the advice, the plan for the car since i bought it as a project so its only a rolling shell with motor and gear box, diff and bear minimum in front to keep wheels on, so its going to be a full ground up rebuild so i will be asking alot of questions as i confront each stage the only reason i ask about the computer is the air flow sensor takes up a large area in the engine bay and i am trying to eliminate the clutter as much as possible and i have been told that an after market computer is the best way to go so its like two birds with one stone haha but i have been told about the pistons and when i get to that part of the project i will definatley address that issue also what about the twin spark i have seen other cars that have individual ignitors for each lead is this better then the two coil set up that currently on it![]()
