only argument i have there is that you work out the $$$ to go to carby, and good cams, then consider how far you could go spending the same money on EFI setup... spending that same amount on an ECU alone would make the benefit far better in favour of EFI.

just consider the cost of a tripple matched pair of good carbys... there could easily be $2K there...

xcedricx - wonder if that would fit the 7M-G?? i agree RE: ITB's = better throttle response, but i think half the reason 4A-G boys go to carby is that you get the better throttly responce cheaper then EFI ITB's and it's easier to tune on a budget... just twist screws, change jets etc...

i guess also theres no need for a FULL after market computer with ITB's, jsut something to manage spark and fuel.

i was thinking of getting that manifold when it was on yahoo auctions earlyer this year.... hopfully it might come back on again... but it would be alsome to use either carbies on a 6m or even use this as a base to build ITB's... i say if you got that mainifold 1/4 of the fabrication would be done for you, or even half... get some 20v 4ag ITBs mounted on there with some of the shelf velocity stacks and hey presto! after a computer and injector up grades etc...

im not to sure tho if it will fit a 7m?

theres alot of time to be spent tuning aftermarket ecu's. especially on a 1g, with no off the shelf products.
often a ecu will idle very nicely, and will make big smooth power on WOT, but the in between can leave alot to be desired. this problem can be eliminated to a certain extent with carbies, but money spent in either field is gonna be money you could have spent doing something else.

I don't think anyone can seriously argue that carbies are a better fuel delivery device than EFI. They're not. They can't compete with the accuracy etc of EFI. BUT carbies, especially weber's, have a sound and feel like nothing else. You wouldn't put them on there for ultimate power but for decent power, old school cool, and a cream your pants sound three 40dcoe weber's be a hard to go past on a twin cam six.

    Do it!!!

Carbi + Petrol = probably not so good.

Carbi + LPG = perfect. Good performance, and decent to tune.

    Ah, hehe.
Force fed indeed, but it certainly does the job.

If any of you carby a 1G you need to be kicked fair in the clacker. Jeez, lets all put on 2.5" exhausts with no mufflers and a hotdog resonator and a bonnet scoop while we're at it Seriously, you would get more performance out of a stock turbo engine on stock computer than any multi carb contraption. Has anyone here ever had to live with a daily driven 6 carb engine?? Bet THAT was fun lol.
