    The pistons(ring lands)in the gte are chunkier than the ge, but theirs obviously a fair bit of strength even in the atmo ones looking at what power people are pulling out of them.
    I think the rods are also stronger in the gte, but cant confirm that for sure.
    GA23(never finished-now with cracked block ) JZX83 (Tyre eater) 3sgte AE86. by now i should know better.

    Interesting, I didn't know that about the pistons. I recall a while ago someone compared the part numbers for the rods and they're the same.

    You would have to swap that anyway due to the CAS wouldnt you ?
    Im 99% sure the rods are the same.

    Yes oil pump would definitely have to be swapped, water pump as well I think?

    Have you priced up some stock 2JZ-GTE pistons from Mr Revhead? You might find they are stupidly cheap like the 4A-GZE pistons!
    ...... butt scratcher?!
