Help Needed - Auto Electrical RN90 Hilux

Hi all..

My Hilux has been sitting for around 2 months now . Did a conversion from 22R to 22RE from a corona (IF ANYONE ASKS ME AGAIN WHY I DIDNT GO A 1G I WILL GO nuts. EVERYONE LEARNS FROM THEIR MISTAKES...EXCEPT ME OBVIUSLY)

In any case the auto electrician made me swap entire harness from the Corona and put it in the hilux instead of simply wiring up the computer separately.... (He should have been a Butcher)

The main prob I have is the 85 RT142 corona doesnt have an electronic dash liky my 93hilux. Basically my dash needs re wiring and hoping someone can lend a hand or put me onto an auto electrician who actually knows his shit at the right price. I think I have most the diagrams of the cluster etc.

Personally, i'd undo the work of the said butcher and hook the engine loom in at the right points. That might mean getting another hilux loom and dumping a lot of work you've probably paid too much for.

Expensive lesson - but then again the auto trade (like any other industry) is full of idiots who make a lot of money of the gullible.

Chuckster. V expensive lesson. U live and learn eh. Im thinking of going to get another loom and starting from scratch as you mentioned, however the auto electrician said to drop it off to his workshop to "See what he can do" .......

hows that hilux going? did it run ever again? got any pointers for the conversion link etc? i think this will be the next mod on my RN90 hopefully before xmas

It shouldn't be to hard. You would have kept gearbox, so speedo will work. All the other inputs will be in the same spot on the engine. And stuff like fuel sender won't have changed. Are you able to take a photo of the dash, wouldn't mind putting one in the celica.

If the dude has half an idea it wont be a big deal.
