Awesome info, i was about to bust up a post to see if anyone knew the exact figure

kinda safe to say that a 1jz mines ecu is probably tuned to the full reading of 16.5 psi then....after that its gunna start leaning out i spose.

I was running my FCD at 4.2Volts @ 15psi it made 225rwkw with stock dumps and a shitty cat. It ran a best of 12.47 @ 109.8mph on Et streets @ 17.8psi. After installing DUmps + a new Catco Metal cat and new coil packs, I have managed 12.18 @ 113mph witht he FCD at same voltage( bumping off the limiter also) And only runnin 17psi thru 1st and 2nd gear before running 17.8psi thru 2nd and 3rd..

Now i have a Blitz Access ECU so no more FCD. Cars going on Dyno this week after the Greddy Ex cam gear is installed and dialled in. Will get a new power run at 15.5psi and probably 18psi.

But it goes to show how far a simple FCD + stock ECU will go. Got me bloody far thats for sure.

    Still going good

I have built a Jaycar FCD. Its been sitting around not being finished for about 1.5 years.

I finished it and after some trouble shooting its running great on the bench. I'll do a bench test and clamp it to 4.3 Volts and see what happens when its in the VN. I never hit boost in the Soarer as its stock. I dont even have a boost guage in it.

You'll have to wait untill the VN is running.

How hard are these Jaycar FCD to build ? & Installation just cut into the map signal line to the ECU i presume ... At Jaycar are they sold under the name FCD ... Sorry to ( some poeple ) for the obvious / lame questions, but i have never seen one..
These aftermarket electronic mods are still a bit new to me, something i have never dabbled with in the past ...
Thanks in advance ... Rob ...

This is the DIY FCD in my Cressida:

It has been working fine for over six months and its adjustable. I'm sure some time on a dyno would fine tune it more and come up with similar results to using and expensive aftermarket type. For now though, I can run 16psi and have had no trouble.

And also a question: Do we measure the voltage with the car running or when it is on boost?

    Cheers Brad.

Not sure if i'am reading this above diagram properly, but would that just adjust overall voltage through the range? I was after something that capped the maximum voltage only..
i dont know how its done but sure there was mention of it in here ..

Awesome work brad... I did this and it cost me a grand total of $2.05 and I have spare diodes.

I am running 20psi on factory ECU and injectors with no problems!

I built and fitted that FCD to a guy's car too, worked like a treat. Just dial in the pot until it just defeats boost cut.
