    clocking a turbo refers to spinning the sections around, from what ive seen, spinning the compressor side around while leaving the exhaust side where it is, so you can spin the unit and point the compressor outlet where you need it to go.

    someone correct me if this is wrong!

    Yes

    Rotate the centre of the turbo so that the turbo oil feed inlet is pointing up, and the turbo drain down.

    This will more than likely require rotating the rear and the front housings!

    Seeing as you have an external wastegate you may also find that you will want to rotate the front compressor housing in relation to the rear housing / core so that the pipe work is easiest (when you have an internal wastegate the actuator mechanisms can make it a little trickier to rotate the front housing with respect to the rear housing...)
