AW11 Leaking Fuel Problem

Sorry but i hope you dont mind a little bit of a hijack. What else is required other than the fuel filler to bring in a JDM AW11. Im guessing seatbelts but cant think of anything else other than normal roadworthy stuff.

my car went over first go the day i picked it up from the transport agent, all i did was wash it and change the wheels for some honda ones i had . it still even had the jap fuel in it !

Just to close off this thread, after some drama I did get the fuel leaking problem sorted.

I ripped off the restrictor only to find there was no fitting for the leaded cap underneath:





Luckily I was able to grab a whole new filler neck from TooF and install it, so leaking problem all solved

sorry for the bump, I've also got this streak but i'm not sure what to do with it! My AW11 is also a JDM import, and I have no clue to whats been changed!

I ended up fixing mine simply by changing caps... tried a few but was actually a grey commodore fuel cap that fixed it in the end...

I think i fixed mine too! went to repco to look for a cap, found a nice catalogue with generic caps and what size fits what! 84ULP for AW11's! and whalla! Fixed! (that is until i turn right at a decent speed and start smelling fuel)

Great thread guys, I have this problem right now and was considering ripping out the unleaded filler insert until I saw that there may be nothing underneath to put another cap into!

Looks like Im off to hunt down a new cap initially...

Not sure where its leaking from yet =( I've already been through 2 caps so I doubt its those.. >_<
