What methods have you used to remove the writing?
As a backyard mechanic with no machine shop handy i'd use an angle grinder, a vice, and a steady hand![]()
Ive taken Nissan off both my R33 and R32 calipers with no adverse effects. As have many others. Go for it son, just dont take too much off.

FWIW, I intend to leave the NISSAN lettering on.
If my calipers looks like the ones on the right, I'd leave the writing, but NISSAN, no way.

Who's are those?
Mine will be most likely be stain black with plain alum Nissan writing. Hatch will be debadged, and I don't mind confusing people.

Bit of hard work with a bastard file and then some cherry red paint yields this:

If the mounting points on the IRS ra65 are the same for the T series ra60 for the drum brakes, then really shouldnt that that spacer ring lookin thing just bolt up the same ? i had spare IRS but sold it. I'll have a look next time im down and see but if someone knows that would be even better
I don't quite follow what you are saying here, Wez. On IRS xa6xs, the disc and drum swingarms are different and need swapping when converting from drums to discs. You can't just bolt discs onto hubs designed from drums. I'm not sure of the specifics, but off the top of my head there are no caliper mounitng points, for a start, and the internal drum is completely different. I imagine exactly the same is the case for the solid axcel variants.Originally Posted by Wezelton
I think what you want is an Ma4x rear end, but aren't 100% on that.

I'm taking that an R32 GTR caliper, because the later ones were made by Brembo, and the earlier ones look the same as an R33 caliper.

Thats an R33 caliper, not an R32 GTR caliper.

Whats the difference between an R33 GTS caliper and an early pre-Brembo R32 GTR caliper?
