Mmmm just as sexy as these
Just out of curiosity, did you source a pair of rear calipers as well? I'm trying to work out rear brembos on a live F-series axle. If anyone knows the drum diameter of the xA6x, xZ1x, xX7x, would be much appreciated! I also read that you need to add 2mm of shoe material to the drums so i'm assuming the inner drum diameter of the Z32/R32/R33/R34 disks are simply 2mm bigger?
Also in reference to the dude asking about doing this setup to a live axle... it definately is possible seeing as GiantTomato managed to install internal drum handbrakes from an MA70 on his G-series diff. Once i work mine out, i'll do a write up about it to help us old school solid axlers

Factory drum is 167.1, Skyline drum is 172.1 (give or take, my measurements were different to what the Brembo catalogue.
And nah, no rears.
But they'd bolt straight up to my rear adaptors.
That front Brembo went straight onto the adaptor I made for the Sumitomos.

Thanks dude. Makes things much easier to work out now!
How interesting... so if i were to use the backing/caliper plates and drums from a xA6x, xZ1x, xX7x and modified them to fit the live f-series, i could just buy the kit from you and it'll be bolt up goodness!! The only difference would be the hub ring diameter being 67mm instead of the 60mm you guys have but a different ring locater could be made up easily.Originally Posted by CrUZida

Pretty much yeah.
If you weld all the Fseries disc/caliper stuff on to be perfect, then yep, my kit should, in theory, let you bolt on R33 GTR brembo rear discs/calipers.
I don't have one to test it though.
I can only verify it by the front working perfectly.

Hmmm, well my brembos are off an evo but i'm fairly certain they're the same. They have exactly the same thickness and diameter disks on both cars so it would definately be a good bet. I just measured my bolt spacing on the rears and it comes to 140mm centre hole to centre hole. Sound correct?

Z32 rear calipers have a bolt spacing of 114mm.

Thanks for the confirmation though Cruzida. I still might be able to butcher my existing adaptor plate and get it all to fit somehow. Unless you happen to upgrade the rears to brembos as well and make up another kit eh

Can someone post up a pic of the back of the drum mount for a RA65 and i'll post up a pic of the RA60 T series drums, then we can atleast have a look and see. I'd be keen for rear discs. Im almost 100% certain they mount the same only the RA65 MIGHT have a stub axel. I cant remember since its been a while since i have owned one.
Wes.
The RA65 *definetly* has stub axcelsOriginally Posted by Wezelton

Is that going to have a major affect ? I know how stub axles look ect compared to the axel ends, i know the caliper mount would probably work, only the hub/rotor mount could/will be different.. the axel ends are flat with studs coming off them, stub axels are like the front hey ?

Nice rear caliper bracket Peewee.
If I remember correctly the hole seperation on the MA6x is 160mm. Now if we could only find a 2 piston caliper with those mounting dimensions.
aight aight question time.
do ra60 and ma61 share front strut brake measurements? ie can this kit for ma61 work on a ra60???
ill check bearings now but caliper mounts etc would be nice if some1 knew.
Cheers

Yes, the kit will bolt to RA60 struts.
