It is, the RA6X strut is the same as the MA61 with an extra 2 degrees of kingpin angle.
99% sure - I have an RA65 and bought the kit (not installed yet). AFAIK, it's all the same.

... AND the 'well' in the base is offset. The hole locations are the same, the outer shape at the base is the same, but RCA blocks with a base-of-strut-locating-lip will need slight modification when swapping between Supra/Soarer & Celica.Originally Posted by JustCallMeFrank
RA60 are exactly the same as MA61 struts, bar the 2degree of kingpin angle
RA65 have a different shaped base (offset wise) to the MA61 and RA60 base. But they have the same 2degree kingpin angle as the RA60 struts though. You need the steering arms with these struts to bolt them onto the MA61. Otherwise the bases wont fit properly.
So differences are...
MA61 Standard
RA60 2 degree kingpin angle
RA65 2 degree kingpin angle + Different shaped base (offset wise)(need steering arms)

Sorry bad grammar. Edited above and yes RA60 and MA61 have same bases.
I disagree - Sam, have you had an RA65 & RA60 strut next to each other and compared the base?
Most peeps who use RA6x struts on Ma6x do NOT use the Ra6x steering arms as well. The base shape is only an issue with RCAs anyway, steering arms do not have a lip!
The man raises a good point

i've had both ra60 and ra65, they aint different.
Bitch, come over here and have sex with Charlie Murphy..
Im Rick James bitch!
This is getting a bit off topic...
So i'll just say i've never had both struts next to each other. However i can say i have pulled apart RA60 struts before and from memory they have the same base as MA61 struts. The reason people only use the struts and not the steering arms aswell (for the camber mod) is becuase they use the RA60 struts and not RA65 struts (if anyone knows of anyone specifically using RA65 struts, chime in). RA65 struts would probably bolt on but you would get some overlap because of the wider base the RA65 has compared to the RA60 and MA60 struts.
Hmm,
Well i have a set of RA65 strutts and steering arms sitting at home.
If i remember, ill get out a vernier and get some measurements.
From when i was at the wreckers, i couldnt see too much difference....
Didnt you use ra65 strutts in your mod???
HERE
Yup sure did. I needed the RA65 struts to suit the RA65 powersteering arms due to the different shaped bases.
I still highly recommend if anyone wants a sharper steering to swap some RA65 struts and powersteering arms into their car.
