    What about something through the bottom of the timing cover? Or is that thinking too far outside the square? there's a couple of nice big pulleys in there...

    got an exploded view like from a parts catalogue, all i can see is the belt cover but there doesnt look like enough room. not sure what is behind the other cover though ie the one behind the belt.

    Yeah, I was thinking oil pump drive, the inner part of the gear is 10mm or so further inboard than the actual outside of the gear that the belt sits on

    hmmm maybe , if only that gear was six spoked it would be to fkn easy ill dummy that up later tonight to see if the alt belt will clear the back of the pickup.

    *machine 3mm off the rear of the crank pulley
    *make up 3mm 6 sided trigger wheel
    *weld trigger wheel to front of "Crankshaft Timing Pulley" and mount the sensor behind the cover?

    Maybe something along thoes lines?

    looked at that but behind the cover lives pulleys and a timing belt or if i put it below the sump is in the way. this thing licks teh balls

    ill get the alt and belt on this avo and check if i can use the aux shaft pulley and make up a tri spoke trig disc for it.

    By belt do you mean piece of string? I havent bought the belt yet....
