lol, thanx guys. Got the car back from the workshop... I reset the clock to see how many k's i will get before it screws up again haha.
Heres the low down... i told them about the movement i was getting, they said it couldn't be the clip/clamp on the drive axle inside the gearbox cause otherwise the driveaxle just wouldn't move. They said the axle is suppose to have some movement cause otherwise it would constantly be bashing on the diff every time i goes ova a bump.
Their diagnosis of the issue was the actual hub nut! (You were onto something Dale!) It was sheared... which explains why it kept coming loose after time. I drove it home, driven it about 20k's now... its all good. They did another thorough examination of the hub and they say its next to perfect, nothing is wrong with it.
They have replaced the nut, torqued it up, and it working perfectly now (did it for free cause i had to come back). Except one thing. they warned me. The wheel bearing on the left hand side, although tests they did shows its alright, its making noise, so it 'could' be on its way out and could last 6months or even the rest of the life of the car, but they told me to keep an ear and an eye on it, and to give them a call tomorrow to give them a review of how the car is going 'so far'. They were good and with all the visits i'm having wit them, we are beginning ot know each other very welll... lol.
But so far... i think this may be the end of the issues..
for now...
Should we start throwing bets as to how long it will last? haha. Lasted 100k's last time i drove it away from the workshop
