Alteeza box mods????

Does anyone know where I can get some new ratios cut for my 6sp Alteeza?
Tried PPG, Albins with no success.

Maybe someone could recommend a good box with a 1:1 5th suitable for circuit work.

Altezza box (J160) already has a 1:1 5th gear. Or did you mean a 1:1 6th gear?

You can get TRD close ratio gearsets for the Altezza 6 speed - not cheap though. Chat to CelicaRA45 - he has/had a box with them in it (I think).

Was it Hewland or TRD that did a close ratio T50 with a 1:1 5th?

it was quaife and if you go with the trd option you only change 1st and 3rd ,just use a w57 box or you can buy my j160 with the TRD option for 5500 plus freight and i will throw in the std main shaft and cluster and 1st and 3rd gear as well this box has done about 18000 kays and the 6speed was done in january this year

I want to keep the 1:1 5th. Don't need 6th and it would be good to remove it if I could.

std ratios are 3.874 2175 1.484 1.223 1 to 1
trd ratios are 3.106 2175 1585 1223 and 1 to 1 5th

The Altezza box is made by Aisan Industries and it is their AZ6..... The same basic transmission is fitted to the S15... the Miata... and the RX8, The Miata version is the one I'm having modified for use in my AE86
