my m8 has a 87 patrol thats been cut up and setup for offroad shit duno why he chose the petrol one but he has. it runs a 1fz with massive truck turbo and turns 35's all 4 of them on the spot, yes thats right all 4 of them, skids arent impossible at all with awd ill find some pics somewhere.

i have a friend who asks me to do this to his car and he is sort of serious but i usually laugh it off
he has a 1fz petrol 100 series
what would be required to do this and what would the rough costs be (turbo ic and manifold)computer???
i dont think he wants 400rwhp he just wants more power to tow his boat and race people from the lights

new turbo/ 2nd hand turbo
dodgy manifold/good one
good ecu/cheap
std exhaust/aftermarket etc

There is a chance I might be doing something similiar sometime soon, too. Guy apparently wants me to look at fitting LS1 to his 80 series, but I'll have a chat to him sometime soon and talk him into boosted FZ fun instead

Theres a few reports of either 5 liter single turbo or twin turbo 4.5 diesel..

Im not sure what the engine will be yet.

Have to wait untill release.

Tuned Automotive are upgrading this 80 series to about 600HP as we speak. Head is done, engine is going together today. The car already had around 400HP, and was a frequent competitor at hillclimbs/trackdays etc. Here is a picture of what happened the last day I saw it compete...




It's a customer car, but if you want more detailed information, call mick at Tuned Automotive (07 3891 6329) I'm sure he'd be willing to give you ballpark specs/turbo sizes and more importantly costs involved.
