Update !

I installed a greddy bcc today ( used 50cdn ) and set it at 3.7v on the bench and set the Profec like this
10%
set gain 0
gain 5
warning 17psi
limiter 30%
peak boost after several runs at wot from 2nd to 5th was 16.2psi .NO FUEL CUT
I'm very impressed by the engine all over again this is the first time in 2 months i've reved the engine past 5K without hitting cut and it seems to like it very much. ..so do I LOL !! My Shitty lightshow a/f gauge shows 1bar away from full rich at wot so until I get a wideband that looks good to me. Wish I could dyno the thing ...closest one is 7hrs away

Good stuff mate.

I don't "think" the limiter at 30% will work though, you need to set it below your normal % of 10 so 5 or so would be good. Set gain to .75 bar and see how much difference it makes to spool up (not that you have lag with stockies anyway ). If it spikes then reduce it to say .5bar.

MA61 Gets ANTIQUE Status

Well she just turned 25 in March so I had the Antique Auto inspector over to see if she would pass the test ... Sure enough he signed his name and made it official with the stamp from the Antique auto Association .. Well now my annual registration drops from $180.00 /yr to $75.00 and my insurance will be @110.00 /yr for full coverage based on the appraised value .. I should get the appraisel results tomorrow so i'll update later. He said the 1J upgrade was acceptable because it was a Toyota engine from a Supra .( year didn't matter I guess) .... Good news !!! Anyway i'm proud to have the first Toyota registered as an Antique in NFLD and just thought I would share

I took a 7hr drive to a dyno and have some numbers for you guys to look over and maybe suggest a few things to make it stronger. I have 2J cams and 440's for this winters upgrades so this run was just to get a base to start from . It's fall here now and the nights are around 10 * c ,and i'm seeing 17.9psi at these temps. It was 27* that day and the most she saw on the dyno was 16 so heat sucks ..ohh well I had fun . All on Stock injectors, stock ecu and stock twins , time to upgrade

Tune looks pretty good to me. 229rwkw is about right for your mods I would say All looking pretty good really.

When you put the 2jz cams in you will probably get to about 320-330rwhp I would say at 18psi and you power will not drop until about 7300 or so

Hi guys !! It's been too long since I had anything to post. I've been busy lately so I thought I would share the progress .

First off the 1J is still running strong after 1yr , A couple months ago I installed a safcII and a aem uego to keep an eye on things . Works well but without a dyno close by i'm probably just screwing up a descent mixture . Still have a lot to learn about tuning this beast The cams and injectors are still on the shelf for another little while .... Dobi springs , whiteline bars and a fresh set of rebuilt ct12a's are on the way , Turbos were basically given to me so I couldn't refuse the spares . So thats pretty much it for the wrenching bits..

More goodies : I found a set of Centerline Thrusters and mounted some Nexxen 3000's 245/45/16's . I also found a set of Leatherseats.com skins from a guy who had them sitting in a box for 4 years
SO it's now confirmed that cloth to leather conversion is as simple as ordering a set for a stock leather interior skins. I was told that the side bolster foam was larger than the cloth and I was also informed that the center seat section pattern is horizontal on leather and vertical on cloth so I would have to find those pieces of foam as well . I searched and searched to find a nice set of side bolster foams and finally found a set 6mths later . After taking the seats apart and putting them side by side it was obvious that it's the same damn foam LOL anyway the install went smooth including the center sections and with a few hot days the leather should shrink a little and take out a few wrinkles..

So thats the progress report from your Canadian 1J student Hope all is well with you guys and thanks again for all the great info you share here .
